  1. Even “Superwoman” has to remove her cape: After having my baby, I jumped right into working to promote my children’s book, which launched on the same day he was born. I can’t tell you how many times I heard people call me a “Superwoman!” I wore the title with pride because I was doing so much while making the transition into motherhood and making it seemingly look so easy. I tried to have my same pre-baby routines, and the newfound mom energy started to fizzle out around the six-month mark. That’s when I realized even superheroes remove their cape at some point, and I didn’t have to do it all. I also learned that asking for and accepting help is a superpower, so I asked my husband for more help around the house. We also signed up for a laundry service, monthly home cleaning service, and meal prep service.
